In order to make getting to Red, White & Boom! 2010 easy and convenient, there will be over a dozen parking areas openat various locations throughout the downtown Columbus area. Red, White & Boom! still recommends Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) services (see routes and services below) as one of the best ways to get to and from the festivities.
Parking Restrictions: Parking will not be allowedon the city streets west of Fourth Street, south of Nationwide Boulevard, eastof McDonell Street and north of Mound Street due to bagged meters Veterans Memorial Parking lot will be open prior to 7:00 p.m. (no inand out privileges between 7:00 and 11:00 p.m.). Ride COTA to Red, White & BOOM! The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) isexpanding service to and from downtown Columbus for Red, White & BOOM!,Friday, July 2. COTA has scheduled 22Local and Express lines for the event. Thepublic can ride COTA to and from Red, White & BOOM! without the worries oftraffic congestion and parking. There will be frequent service traveling downtown on15 Local routes during the afternoon and evening until approximately 9 p.m. Expressservice to downtown from 7 Park & Ride locations will continue between 5:30p.m. and 8:30 p.m. After the fireworks,buses for the 22 service lines will leave downtown from designated Red, White& BOOM boarding zones (link to map below) at 10:45 p.m., 11:30 p.m. andmidnight. COTA’s customer servicecall-in service hours have been extended to 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday toassist customers with their transportation needs. Toreach customer service, call 228-1776. COTA has scheduled up to 175 extra buses, in additionto regular weeknight service, for Red, White & BOOM!
